CHARGE YOUR IPHONE. If your iPhone will not turn on, it probably needs to be charged. Plug it into your computer for until it will turn on.

METHOD 2 OF 4: ACTIVATE A NEW IPHONE ONLINE

GO TO THE AT&T WIRELESS WEBSITE. Choose the best option from those listed. Then, enter your wireless number, verification method, and verification number. Then, click next and follow the onscreen instructions.

GO TO SETTINGS > GENERAL > ABOUT ON YOUR IPHONE. Find the IMEI number listed. Make sure it matches the one shown to you on the webpage.

ACTIVATE YOUR PHONE. Wait for 5 minutes or so, then restart your iPhone 5. It should be activated.
If you have trouble, call AT&T at 1.800.331.0500. They should be able to help you with any issues.
METHOD 3 OF 4: ACTIVATE A PHONE BY TRANSFERRING YOUR NUMBER FROM ANOTHER PROVIDER

HAVE ALL YOUR MATERIALS READY. You'll be asked to provide the number you wish to activate, the account holder's social security number or tax ID number, and the account holder's billing or shipping ZIP code.

CALL 866.895.1099. This is the AT&T activations number. Follow the instructions given, and be ready to accept your Wireless Customer Agreement.
METHOD 4 OF 4: ACTIVATE AN UPGRADED IPHONE FROM A NEW NUMBER

ENTER THE WIRELESS NUMBER THAT ORIGINALLY RECEIVED THE UPGRADE. Enter your old wireless number when prompted.

WAIT TO BE REDIRECTED TO AN AT&T REPRESENTATIVE. They will give you specific instructions depending on your situation to allow you to transfer the number.

Make sure you have updated to the latest version of Android.
WARNINGS
When you delete files and applications, make sure that you don't delete anything that you aren't 100% sure is safe to delete. You can permanently damage your Android phone if you delete any system files that are necessary to operate the phone.
Once you are finished accessing your Android system files, make sure that you dismount your Android phone correctly. Select the option to "Turn off USB storage" on your Android phone, and wait until it says that you can securely remove the device.
